Bathtime

A Bathtub where water

covers toes where
Skin holds back – weaves

and presses on wondering

whims, limbs, connecting,

touching ripples through
eyes of innocence
quenching the taste of
experience.

Submerged in liquid past
water browns, society masks
swamps out of knowledge.

Dripping taps & the water’s cold

aged, and yet we fail to drain
That dirty bathwater
Continuing to soak until memory wrinkles
our fingerprints of Bathtime.
